Andrew Arz has 17 years of information technology and management experience and has worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory for 3 years. Before coming to ORNL, Andrew served in the United States Navy for 15 years where he held the rank of Chief Petty Officer and the job rating of Information Systems Technician. During his time in the Navy, he deployed to the Gulf of Arabia four times and also spent one deployment doing humanitarian work in South America and other smaller countries in the Caribbean. During these deployments, he managed a 20-person IT team that handled all internet protocol and radio communications to and from the ship.
His time at ORNL has been spent providing a wide arrange of IT solutions for projects such as the Exascale Computing Project and the North American Energy Resilience Model.
