The Exascale Computing Project (ECP) operated between 2016 and 2024 and was responsible for delivering a capable exascale computing ecosystem, including software, applications, and hardware technology, to support the Nation’s exascale computing imperative. The ECP was a joint project (17-SC-20-SC) of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science and National Nuclear Security Administration.
