ECP’s Presence at SC18 to be Far-Reaching; Web Page Provides Listing of ECP Involvement

On Wednesday, November 14, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. (CST), ECP Director Doug Kothe will deliver an invited talk titled “Delivering on the Exascale Computing Project Mission for the US Department of Energy” at SC18, the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis, in Dallas. During this talk, which takes place in Exhibit Hall B at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, he will discuss the vision, origin, mission, and activities of the project.

Later that day, he will give an ECP update presentation from the DOE booth (#2433) in the SC18 exhibit hall.

Extensive ECP Representation

ECP team members will be involved in myriad SC18 activities encompassing presentations, panels, tutorials, posters, workshops, and birds-of-a-feather sessions. The sessions will cover areas such as Message Passing Interface (MPI); fault tolerance; data compression, reduction, capture, and analysis; memory; I/O; checkpointing; power/energy measurement; spiking neural network applications; Spack (supercomputer PACKage manager); algorithms; future programming models; and training.
